OPERATION LIGHTNING
DATE: 10 AUG 2008

LOCATION: BARBUDA

SITUATION:
SLA forces under the command of General Rafeal Kowalksi have been torturing and killing civilians over the past two weeks. We have eye witness reports of women being raped, houses being burned, and men being lined up and executed. Most of this activity has been taking place in two cities, Los Angelitos and Santa Fuero. RACS scouts have reported that the SLA have somewhat fortified these two cities and won't let anyone in or out. Our intel guys also believe the SLA is hiding two ZSU-23-4 Shilkas in one of the cities. The two primary objectives of Operation Lightning are two clear both cities of SLA forces. Secondary objectives are to find and destroy the two Shilkas and two capture or kill General Rafeal Kowalski.

The SDF will be operating from one of their bases located southwest of the objectives at grid DD78. The base is codenamed Camp Viper.

ODA 551
ODA 551 will be operating from a safehouse in the village of Corona at grid ED79.

More intel will be posted as it becomes available.

The time for the mission has been set for 2000 (8PM) GMT.

Joint Ops completed my opinion it was a brilliant success from what i hear from the rest of you, you guys thought the same and i look forward to the next ones coming up!


so my thanks to Monty for a great mission and the ODA551 guys played brilliantly shame about the technical problems at the start now we have the first one under our belt cant wait till the next one.
